If you are manufacturing SMT assembly equipment, we believe that implementing The Hermes Standard will hold a lot of advantages for your customers. As a first step, you will probably evaluate the standard itself to find out the technical details.

Important to know and therefore mentioned multiple time here: As long as you keep the defined standard elements, You are free to implement The Hermes Standard free of charge and without a specific “permission” from The Hermes Standard Initiative. Further, you are free to decide whether you want to charge your customers for advanced features enabled by the implementation.

However, if you want to make sure that your customers will get the best of The Hermes Standard, we would like to encourage you to actively participate in the further development of the specification.

There is no membership fee or any other restriction. All it takes is to join one of the regular meetings and you can start off with bringing in your ideas and expertise.
